On August 12, a cargo ship carrying 112 tons of Dawn polyethylene wax (PEWAX) departed from Qingdao Port bound for India. This marks the product's first entry into the international market, achieving a breakthrough from zero to one in export business. It also represents a remarkable achievement of Dawn's trade and logistics segment in deepening existing customer relationships, expanding into new product tracks, and broadening its international footprint.

As one of the five major business segments of Dawn Group, the company's trade and logistics division operates across diverse sectors—including domestic and international trade in plastics, coal, and petroleum products, as well as comprehensive logistics services. The polyethylene wax products involved in this export were independently manufactured by Shandong Weilan Fengyuan New Materials Co., Ltd., a Dawn Group portfolio company; the shipment comprises two core products: DN100 granules and DN110 wax flakes.

"Securing this order was the result of long-standing client relationships, superior product quality, and efficient cross-departmental collaboration," explained Pang Jiquan, Manager of Dawn International Trading Co., Ltd. Leveraging a stable partnership with an Indian client spanning over a decade, the business team adopted a targeted "tailored strategy for each enterprise" approach. By deeply exploring the client's diverse procurement needs and elevating the scope of cooperation—expanding from the original trade in titanium dioxide to include polyethylene wax additives—the team successfully maximized the value of an existing client and broke into a new business segment.

Dawn’s polyethylene wax is characterized by low viscosity, high lubricity, strong dispersion capabilities, and excellent thermal stability, making it widely applicable across industries such as plastics, masterbatches, coatings, rubber, and wire and cable. "Overseas customers maintain quality control standards for polyethylene wax that far exceed those of typical domestic procurement; they impose rigorous, specialized requirements regarding key performance indicators—such as gloss, whiteness, hardness, and brittleness—as well as the stability and consistency of the product across batches," said Pang Jiquan.

Xie Yuntao, Vice President of Dawn Group and executive in charge of the trade and logistics sector, provided overall coordination and hands-on direction for this export operation. During the client's site visit, various business units collaborated and leveraged shared resources to comprehensively showcase standardized production processes, systematic quality testing, large-scale production capacity, and integrated supply capabilities. Yu Xiangyu, General Manager of Dawn International Trading Co., Ltd, stated that the company would continue to diversify its export product portfolio, expand pathways for the brand's international growth, and enhance Dawn's overall competitiveness in the global market.
