On the morning of March 28, the movie "City in the Countryside" was launched at Dawn Business Center in Longkou, Yantai, Shandong. The film is a rural light comedy feature film, jointly produced by the Longkou Daosheng Film and Television Culture Media Co., Ltd. under Dawn Group and Shandong Film Studio Co., Ltd.

According to reports, the film is directed by the Shandong Provincial Film Bureau, jointly planned by the Publicity Department of the CPC Longkou Municipal Committee and Shandong Film Studio Co., Ltd., and jointly produced by the Publicity Department of the CPC Longkou Municipal Committee, Longkou Daosheng Film and Television Culture Media Co., Ltd., Shandong Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, the Provincial Film Association, Longkou Literature and Art Federation, Longkou Writers Association and Shandong Film Studio Co., Ltd.

The film is directed by the famous director Yang Zhen and stared by famous actors Cheng Teng, Shao Feng, and Yang Dapeng. The film tells the story of Gao Wenwen, the first secretary selected by the trade union, who leads the villagers to adjust the planting structure and promote industrial upgrading; digs deep into folklore and folk skills, committed to cultural enrichment, and finally changes the villagers' thinking, embraces the new era, and builds a beautiful village. It is understood that the film is expected to be shut down in mid-April this year, and would be shown online in major theaters in July, and be broadcast on CCTV6 and other media during the year.

At the opening ceremony, Wu Xiaoping, deputy director of the Standing Committee of Longkou Municipal People's Congress, said in his speech that "The City in the Countryside" is a work that integrates ideological and artistic qualities, which is of great significance to enhance the overall image of the city.

Shen Wugang, director of Shandong Film Studio, and director Yang Zhen respectively introduced the background and cast of the film.
