A few days ago, the State Administration for Market Regulation (the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China) approved and issued a batch of important national standards covering various areas such as production, life, and green sustainability. Among them, the national standard "Energy Consumption Limits for Unit Products of Titanium Dioxide and Iron Oxide Pigments," revised under the auspices of Dawn Titanium Industry Company, will be officially implemented on May 1st, 2025.
The national standard plan "Energy Consumption Limits for Unit Products of Titanium Dioxide and Iron Oxide Pigments" was drafted by Working Group 469 (the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China), with execution entrusted to TC20 (National Technical Committee 20 on Energy Fundamentals and Management). Dawn Titanium Industry Company served as the first drafting unit, with the company's General Manager Li Jianli and Deputy General Manager Cao Bo participating in the revision of this standard.
According to the introduction, the classification of energy consumption limits for unit products of titanium dioxide and iron oxide pigments will encourage enterprises to actively engage in energy conservation and consumption reduction efforts, reduce the consumption of raw coal and emissions of pollutants per unit product during the production process, thereby lower production costs, improve the economic benefits and resource utilization level of enterprises, enhance their core competitiveness, and promote green and sustainable development within the industry.
As a national high-tech enterprise, Dawn Titanium Industry Company is dedicated to building an environmentally friendly enterprise. With a focus on low-carbon and energy-saving titanium dioxide production processes, it is the first one in China to exclusively use titanium-rich material as raw material for producing rutile titanium dioxide. Over the years, the company has consistently led the national petrochemical industry in both energy efficiency and water efficiency, earning recognition as a national-level demonstration enterprise for green factories. It has also been awarded the National Green Design Product title and has spearheaded the formulation of the industrial standard "Evaluation Requirements for Green Factories in the Titanium Dioxide Industry."
"Technological innovation, clean production, and green development" are the most prominent features of Dawn Titanium Industry Company. General Manager Li Jianli stated that the company would continue to promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the enterprise, establish a sustainable energy system that is clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient, as well as a green and low-carbon technological innovation system, actively participate in the revision of various standards, and contribute more "Dawn power" to the green and sustainable development of the industry.
