On June 28th, the launching ceremony of Dawn Headquarters Economic Zone was grandly held in the Longkou New Material Technology Industrial Park which is constructed and managed by Dawn Group. On the same day, focusing on topic of "Celebrating the 30th Anniversary and Starting Afresh", Dawn Group held the 30th anniversary thematic events series of “Starting the Future in Dawn’s thirtieth anniversary", "Technological Empowerment to lead the Future", and "Thanks for Your Joining and Win the Future Together". Starting the Future in Dawn’s thirtieth anniversary

At 10:48am, with a shocking and powerful opening dance, the launching ceremony of Dawn Headquarters Economic Zone with the theme of "Starting the Future in Dawn’s thirtieth anniversary " officially kicked off. Salutes blasted in unison, colorful smoke rose, and thunderous applause lasted. The leaders and guests at the meeting unveiled together, officially opening a new chapter of leapfrog development at Dawn’s 30th birthday.

Dawn Group is a legendary private enterprise in Longkou City. Li Wanping, Deputy Secretary of the Longkou Municipal Committee and Mayor, thought that the eastward and westward expansion project of the New Material Science and Technology Industrial Park is one of the important carriers for the expansion of the development space of Longkou City and the improvement of the park’s loading capacity which is also an important link in building a high-end chemical industrial chain that integrates advanced, leading, and competitive advantages. In the future, the new material technology industrial park will surely become a model of the park with "advantageous resources, leading technology, strong competitiveness, and broad development prospects".

Zhu Wenwei, President of China Plastics Processing Industry Association, said that as the specially invited vice chairman unit and the director unit of the special committee of China Plastics Processing Industry Association, Dawn has done a series of fruitful work for the development of the industry. Its outstanding contributions during the COVID-19 showed the responsibility and demeanor of the Chinese plastics industry. Standing at a new starting point of 30 years and relying on the new platform of Dawn Headquarters Economic Zone, it is expected that Dawn would continue to drive innovation, create an industrial agglomeration effect, and contribute greater "Dawn Power" to industry, association, and region development.

As a representative of universities, Chen Kezheng, President of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, reviewed the fruitful results of the school-enterprise cooperation between the two sides, and expressed his affirmation and gratitude to Dawn for supporting the development of university education. "We have comprehensively cooperated in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, talent training, scientific research, project development, and mutual employment of professors, which made remarkable achievements." President Chen Kezheng said that the school would adhere to the characteristics of "integration of production, education, and research" and contribute more QUST’s power in personnel training, scientific research and social services.

Chairman Yu Xiaoning gave a brief introduction to the construction of Longkou New Material Technology Industrial Park and Dawn Headquarters Economic Zone. From ecological environment management to industrial layout planning, from domestic and foreign industrial layout to park project construction, Dawn Group has gradually built an industrial ecology of which the product chain, enterprise chain, and industrial chain can promote the development of each other to form an industrial cluster effect that has begun to take shape.

Technological Empowerment to Lead the Future

In the morning, Dawn Group held a science and technology innovation conference with the theme of "Technological Empowerment to Lead the Future" at Longkou Business United Hotel. It reviewed and summarized the courses of Dawn’s technological innovation and development in the past 30 years, commended and rewarded scientific and technological workers who have made outstanding contributions on the scientific and technological front and outstanding scientific research achievements.

Dr. Tian Hongchi, General Manager of Dawn Polymer, made a thematic report on “Dawn Group's Scientific and Technological Innovation Development Process and Dawn's Innovation Capabilities and Achievements", which reviewed the 30th anniversary of Dawn's technological development history. Afterwards, the guests and leaders presented awards to Dawn Group's meritorious and outstanding figures in technological innovation and the 2020 independent innovation award-winning projects and science and technology award projects.

Signing agreements on the spot was the highlight of the conference. Dawn Group signed contracts with 10 units including China Gas, Yanchang Petroleum, Pucheng Clean Energy Chemical Company Ltd, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Shenyang University of Chemical Technology etc., to cooperate in the development of biodegradable plastics, high-end polypropylene, and other products, explore new ways of industry-university-research cooperation, and empower the development of Dawn Group for creating a better life.
