Two Important Projects were Together Signed! Dawn Further Lays the Leading Position in New Materials Industry

On May 27th, Longkou City government held a signing ceremony for key projects in 2021. Lv Bo, Secretary of Longkou Municipal Party Committee, and Li Wanping, Deputy Secretary of Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, attended the event. The principal responsible persons of relevant departments in Municipal Party Committee & Municipal Government and some entrepreneur representatives participated in the event. Yu Xiaoning, chairman of Dawn Group and Dawn Polymer, and Song Huidong, vice president of Dawn Group, were invited to attend the signing ceremony.

In this event, 16 key projects were signed together. Chairman Yu Xiaoning, on behalf of Dawn Polymer, signed a framework agreement for biodegradable material projects with China Textile Academy. On behalf of Dawn Group, Vice President Song Huidong signed a BICO nonwoven fabric production projects framework agreement for high-end medical and health use with expert representatives. It was understood that the above two key projects were important measures taken by Dawn Group to extend the upstream and downstream industrial chain, and were of strategic significance to further improve the industrial layout and promote the implementation of "14th Five-Year Plan" strategic goals.

The new biodegradable material project is jointly developed by Dawn Polymer and China Textile Academy. On January 16th, the two companies reached a strategic cooperation on the construction of a 120,000-ton/year (60,000-ton for the first phase) biodegradable plastic (PBAT) project. The project is divided into two phases for R&D and construction. It is planned to install a PBAT polymerization device to achieve a production scale of 120,000 tons/year of fully biodegradable plastic PBAT, marking that Dawn Polymer will complete the entire industrial chain layout of biodegradable plastics and lay a leading position in the era of biodegradable plastics. Subsequently, on April 8th, Dawn Polymer and Shandong ZhouShi Plastic Packaging Co., Ltd. carried out an investment cooperation project signing ceremony, and jointly established Shandong Dawn ZhouShi Plastic Packaging Co., Ltd., marking Dawn's full entry into the field of degradation.

The high-end non-woven production project of BICO nonwoven fabrics for high-end medical and health use of Dawn-SWT is based in Longkou. The project is carried out in two phases and is mainly engaged in the R&D, production and sales of BICO non-woven fabrics. After it is fully completed, it can form a non-woven fabric production scale of 100,000 tons per year. According to reports, Dawn-SWT is a scientific and technological innovation company specializing in the development and production of modified materials for nonwovens, high-end nonwoven equipment, and differentiated nonwoven products. It has a rich industry experience of non-woven fabrics in the fields of hygiene, medical treatment, filtration, and industrial use. The BICO nonwoven liquid cotton series developed and produced by Dawn-SWT has reached the international leading level in terms of quality due to its good drapability, high air permeability and excellent skin-friendly performance.  

2021 is Dawn’s 30-Year-Old Birthday and the beginning year of "14th Five-Year" strategic plan. The above two key projects were signed together which is an important measure of Dawn Group to improve its business layout and extend the industrial chain, empowering Dawn Group to achieve leap-forward development.
