On the morning of April 30th, Shandong Province celebrated the "May 1st" International Labor’s Day and held the Provincial May-1^st Labor Award Recognition Conference in Jinan. Liu Jiayi, Secretary of Shandong Provincial Party Committee, and Li Ganjie, Deputy Secretary of Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Governor, attended the event. Dawn Group won the National May 1st Labor Medal and it was the only one company in Yantai City to receive this honor. According to the reports the National May 1st Labor Medal was a glorious title awarded by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions to workers, enterprises, institutions, and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is one of the highest awards for the Chinese working class.
