On September 13, during the National Finals and Award Ceremony of the Fourth "Create Youth" China Youth Carbon Neutrality Innovation Competition held in Longkou, Shandong, Dawn Group signed a cooperation agreement with China University of Petroleum (Beijing) (CUPB). This milestone marks the beginning of a joint effort between the two parties to deepen engagement in the "dual carbon" track, empowering green, low-carbon, high-quality development. Present at the event were Zhang Guangqing, Member of the Standing Committee of the CUPB Party Committee and Vice President of the University, and Li Wanping, Secretary of the Longkou Municipal Party Committee. Qiu Huanling, Vice President of Dawn Group, and Chen Qingkui, Dean of the Dawn Research Institute, also participated.

To achieve the "dual carbon" goals, young people must step up with courage and responsibility. This competition was hosted by the China Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Foundation, China University of Petroleum (Beijing), China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petrochemical Corporation, and China National Offshore Oil Corporation. It was organized by the Shandong Provincial Youth Entrepreneurship Action Guidance Center, the Shandong Provincial Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Foundation, and the Yantai Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, with support from Dawn Group and other entities. The event brought together young innovators from across the nation to explore new pathways for green development.

"We have jointly built laboratories and talent cultivation bases with universities and research institutes, carried out over 30 joint research projects, and developed more than 100 new products—23 of which have reached internationally advanced levels and achieved industrial implementation," Vice President Qiu Huanling explained during a symposium.

With profound expertise and outstanding advantages in the petroleum and petrochemical fields, CUPB is a key partner of Dawn Group. At the award ceremony, Dean Chen Qingkui signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the group. Moving forward, the two sides will form joint research teams, conduct horizontal research projects, co-establish joint laboratories or technology innovation centers, and facilitate the priority transformation and engineering implementation of research results at Dawn Group. Leveraging the university's internship and practice bases, they will advance internships, faculty exchanges, targeted recruitment, and employee training, jointly cultivating high-caliber professionals in the petrochemical and "dual carbon" sectors. They will also work together to host innovation competitions like "Create Youth," organize academic forums and technical exchange activities, establish a regular communication mechanism, and promote the successful landing of high-quality innovation projects at Dawn Group, creating a model demonstration of university-enterprise collaboration.
