On September 11, the Dawn Group, in collaboration with Academician Zhang Liqun of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Xi'an Jiaotong University, officially established the "Dawn Liqun Scholarship." On that day, Tian Feng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Longkou Civil Affairs Bureau, along with Liu Lili, Vice President of Dawn Group, set out from the coastal town of Longkou, traveling thousands of miles across mountains and plains to the northern grasslands. They donated one million yuan each to No. 2 Middle School of Xilingol League, No. 2 Middle School of Duolun County, and No. 3 Middle School of Duolun County. The funds are designated to reward outstanding students, support those facing financial hardship, and honor dedicated teachers, thereby giving tangible support to education in the Xilingol League.

Attending the ceremony were Wu Yun Gaowa, Secretary of the Education Working Committee of Xilingol League and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the League's Education Bureau; Sun Zhichun, Secretary of the Duolun County Party Committee; Jia Yongxia, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and County Mayor; Yang Yidong, Secretary-General of the Longkou Charity Federation; and leaders from No. 2 Middle School of Xilingol League, No. 2 Middle School of Duolun, and No. 3 Middle School of Duolun.

The name "Liqun" embodies the meaning "benefiting the people and serving the community." "Dawn" not only represents the group's name but also reflects its founding principle of "Heaven rewards diligence; give back to society with gratitude." Director Tian Feng remarked, "This scholarship weaves a warm and enduring chain of emotion: a boy who once walked the halls of No. 2 Middle School of Xilingol League planted the seed of serving the nation through science amidst the wind and snow of the grasslands." Today, the academician alumnus gives back to his hometown with heartfelt dedication, the caring enterprise upholds righteousness to fulfill local bonds, and the charity federation builds a transparent and standardized bridge for philanthropy—three parties united in purpose, transforming a cherished memory from the northern grasslands into a sincere trust and goodwill entrusted by the coastal land.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Academician Zhang Liqun's graduation from No. 2 Middle School of Xilingol League. Not long ago, his entire class gathered in Xilinhot and proposed establishing a scholarship for their alma mater—a shared aspiration of homeroom teacher Li Shiliang and all classmates. This sentiment deeply moved every member of the Dawn Group, prompting them to invest in educational philanthropy in the northern frontier. School leaders noted that this scholarship honors teachers with love and gratitude, recognizing their silent dedication and unwavering commitment to nurturing a new generation from the lectern. Earlier, on the morning of September 10, Wang Yongfang, Vice President of Dawn Group, attended the opening ceremony of the 2026–2027 academic year and Teacher's Day commendation conference at Longkou No. 1 Middle School. Together with school leaders, he presented the "Dawn Scholarship" to outstanding students and received a pennant inscribed with "Good Deeds Help Dreams Take Flight" from Principal Lin Yunxiu.
