"High-end tire barrier material breaks the foreign technology monopoly." This was stated in the government work report delivered by Shandong Governor Zhou Naixiang at the opening session of the Fourth Session of the 14th Shandong Provincial People's Congress on January 27th, highlighting Dawn's latest technological innovation achievements. It is understood that this was the first time Dawn's involvement has been included in the provincial government work report, demonstrating the company's development strength and technological innovation capabilities.
On the morning of that day, the Fourth Session of the 14th Shandong Provincial People's Congress solemnly opened at the Shandong Hall. Yu Xiaoning, Chairman and President of Dawn Group, along with representatives from all walks of life and all sectors of the province, gathered together, entrusted with the important mission of fulfilling the sacred duties bestowed upon them by the Constitution and laws.

On the eve of the conference, Dawn Polymer's high gas barrier dynamic vulcanizate alloy (DVA) for tires was selected as one of Shandong Province's Top Ten Scientific and Technological Innovation Achievements. On January 25th, SDTV-1 broadcast the grand event themed "Shandong's Outstanding Achievements, New Momentum of Science and Technology," where Dawn Polymer's General Manager, Tian Hongchi, accepted the award and delivered a speech. On January 26th, the Dazhong Daily devoted a full page to the story of Dawn's DVA material research and application, with the theme "Winning Beyond the Laboratory," highlighting "the ecological advantages of Chinese-style innovation as seen from breakthroughs in tire barrier materials."
Innovation is the primary driving force for development. The report mentions that innovation-driven development continues to strengthen, with high-end tire barrier materials breaking the foreign technological monopoly. Dawn Polymer, in collaboration with Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Linglong Tire, and other institutions, has made breakthroughs in key technologies such as cross-linking dynamic vulcanization and DVA film/composite film preparation. After more than 10 years of independent research and development, it has broken the foreign technological monopoly and has promoted its application in various tire specifications of downstream companies such as Linglong Tire, becoming the second company in the world to achieve mass production of DVA materials.
The cutting-edge technology for "slimming down" tires has garnered significant attention from all sectors of society. Dawn's DVA material boasts airtightness 7-10 times that of traditional vulcanized butyl rubber, simultaneously improving tire pressure retention and pressure durability by 50%, while reducing the thickness and weight of the airtight layer by 60%. This results in a weight reduction of approximately 1 kg per tire, meeting the urgent needs of fuel-efficient vehicles and extended range for new energy vehicles. This achievement signifies that Chinese high-end tire barrier materials have reached an internationally leading level.

As a three-term provincial people's congress representative, Chairman Yu Xiaoning, combining the development of Dawn Group and Longkou (Dawn) New Materials Science and Technology Industrial Park, proposed, from a provincial perspective, the systematic governance and efficient innovative utilization of historical mining subsidence areas. He also suggested optimizing the layout and management of chemical projects and implementing precise risk-based management. "The provincial government's work report praising DVA materials is a great encouragement and impetus for Dawn Group," he said. He stated that they would earnestly implement the report's requirements, leverage Dawn Group's four major advantages—research, industry, industrial park, and talent—and target the forefront of global science and technology, national strategic needs, and social and livelihood needs to create more world-class green, low-carbon, and high-end new materials.
