On the afternoon of August 22, the 13th "Academic Achievement" outreach training program by Dawn Group, which lasted 1.5 days, concluded successfully. It is reported that since 2013, every August, the Dawn Group has organized undergraduate and above students—children of Dawn employees, and those from five neighboring villages—to participate in outreach training, receive scholarships, and interact with outstanding Dawn employees who are former college graduates. These interactions involve sharing growth experiences and envisioning prospects.
Xu Chunyuan, a doorman at Dawn Titanium Industry, has triplets—Xu Hao, Xu Yun, and Xu Lai—all admitted to universities this year. To maximize relief for the family’s financial pressure, the triplets were specially invited to join this year’s program and received a 3,000-yuan scholarship. Additionally, Cheng Menglin, Director of Human Resources and Administration at Dawn Titanium Industry, donated 5,000 yuan on behalf of the company’s management team to Xu Chunyuan’s family. "Our family owes much to my mother’s consistent dedication and my father’s silent support over the years. In college, we will study diligently, keep progressing, and repay our parents and Dawn with concrete actions," said Xu Hao.
The outreach training kicked off with the "first lesson" delivered by Liu Lili, Vice President of Dawn Group and Vice Dean of Dawn Business School. She congratulated the students on their academic achievements, introduced Dawn’s culture, development history, social contributions, and its support for education, and encouraged the students to cherish campus life and strive for academic excellence. Subsequent activities—including on-site visits, warm group photos, and dynamic outreach sessions—helped participants learn about Dawn, deepen family bonds, and showcase youthful vitality and team spirit.
Zhang Jiaxing, an equipment manager at Dawn Titanium Industry and an outstanding college graduate representative of Dawn Group, shared his life and work experiences around "joining Dawn," "growing at Dawn," and "messages for college life." He commented, "Dawn is a forward-thinking, well-planned platform worthy of entrusting one’s future to!" He advised the younger students, "College is a new starting point for learning. Cherish your time, clarify your direction and set goals early, and strive unremittingly for them."
"Dawn is a strong backing for me to pursue my studies and dreams with peace of mind," said Zhi Yujie, an undergraduate representative from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. "I am proud that my father works in such an enterprise, and even more proud to be a ‘member of the Dawn family’!" Hu Wei, a postgraduate representative from Nanchang University, noted, "The Dawn spirit is like a beacon. I will take Dawn as a role model and the Chairman as an example, strive to learn professional knowledge, improve my practical abilities, and hope to join the Dawn family in the future."
"Dawn is not only a workplace where our parents work hard to pursue their dreams, but also a warm and powerful big family," said Zhou Zijun, a doctoral student representative from Beijing Jiaotong University. "As a doctoral student about to enter the field of scientific research, I know the road ahead is full of challenges, but the Dawn spirit will always inspire me to overcome difficulties. ‘I hope to follow Dawn’s example—achieve self-growth while never forgetting my social responsibilities, and contribute to social progress.’"
It is reported that Dawn Group has persisted in this charitable initiative for 13 years, with cumulative scholarships totaling 630,000 yuan. During the scholarship presentation of this year’s program, each student was also given a newly published book The Dao of Dawn, aiming to inspire them to understand the philosophy of the enterprise’s development and explore the principles of life and work.
"First, cultivate the ‘virtue of gratitude’," said Yu Xiaoning, Chairman and President of Dawn Group, and Dean of Dawn Business School. Drawing on his own entrepreneurial experience, he encouraged the students: "Your parents have devoted immense efforts to your journey from studying hard to being admitted to college. You should repay them with the mindset of ‘I am an adult and can take on family responsibilities,’ letting the warmth of family affection become the foundation of your growth." He emphasized that college is a critical period for "accumulating energy and laying a solid foundation." "Treat your studies with awe, acquire knowledge through overcoming difficulties, gain insights into society, and temper your practical abilities. Transform your academic credentials into capabilities and your experiences into qualities—avoid knowing without making contributions." He urged the students to love their families, hometowns, and the motherland, cultivate a sense of national responsibility, equip themselves with knowledge and experience, and grow into pillars of society capable of shouldering the responsibilities of the times.
