On the evening of July 23, the closing dinner for Dawn Group’s 2025 college graduate orientation was held at Dawn Lakeside Hotel. 120 new hires concluded the 21-day program with a rousing performance of Ode to the Motherland, showcasing their ambition to embark on their roles and build a shared future. Dawn Group Chairman, President, and Dean of Dawn Business School, Yu Xiaoning, attended.
This "heartfelt" orientation featured rich, practical content—on-site visits, team-building exercises, military training, and intensive workshops—helping new employees grasp Dawn’s 30+ years of development, understand its cultural essence, and strengthen their sense of identity and belonging.
At the July 3 welcome ceremony, Dawn Group Vice President and Dawn Business School Vice Dean Liu Lili outlined the company’s profile, product structure, and talent development efforts, encouraging new hires to start a fulfilling career at Dawn. Following the on-site tours, they witnessed Dawn’s industrial, product, and enterprise chain achievements, leaving them impressed by its growth.
The engaging team-building activities—icebreakers, speed challenges, puzzles, frisbee, curling, African drumming, and "power circles"—blended fun with challenge. Over two days, the collaboration taught them the importance of teamwork, effective communication, and organization.
The two-day theoretical sessions covered corporate culture, Dawn’s story, strategy, products, HR, administration, finance, safety, and risk control, equipping them with work methods and clarifying career paths.
To match talent with roles, orientation included job briefings (July 18), exchange sessions (July 23), and interviews (July 24). Leaders from departments and business units engaged directly with new hires, embodying Dawn’s talent philosophy: "Recruit right, nurture well, deploy properly, retain effectively, and help succeed."
Insights from senior staff guided them. 2024 outstanding graduate Hu Yexun urged, "As young people, we should dedicate our efforts to Dawn’s journey, root our careers here, and blend our dreams with its future!" Yu Wentao, deputy director of Dawn Polymer’s 7th workshop, shared his growth story, encouraging continuous learning. Gong Qian, a graduate of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, noted, "I chose Dawn for its research DNA and genuine investment in nurturing talent."
Chairman Yu Xiaoning shared his entrepreneurial journey: "34 years ago, at your age, I led a 5-person team to start up. We seized opportunities amid reform and opening-up, growing Dawn from scratch into a strong enterprise." He outlined future industrial plans and R&D layouts, emphasizing that talent is key to competition, and youth bear era responsibilities. He urged gratitude toward family, company, society, and country; strengthening interpersonal skills; and nurturing a kind, pure, progressive spirit to create value.
Now, the 120 new hires have joined their posts, bringing knowledge and resolve from the orientation. With youthful energy, they inject new vitality into Dawn, marching together toward a brighter future.
