On the afternoon of May 14, Zhou Lin, Member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Demonstration Zone, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Mayor of Jiaozhou Municipal Government, and Commander-in-Chief of the Construction Headquarters of SCO COSMOPlat New City; and Li Yang, Vice President of Haier Smart Home and General Manager of Global Procurement, visited Dawn Group to deepen strategic cooperation and explore a path to win-win development. Yu Xiaoning, Chairman and President of Dawn Group, Vice President Song Huidong, Tian Hongchi, General Manager of Dawn Polymer, and Yu Zhengyu, Assistant to the President of Dawn Group, accompanied the visit.

In the lobby on the first floor of Dawn Group's headquarters, the guests listened to an introduction to the company's development, technological innovation, industry status, and social responsibility. In the office hall of Dawn Chemistry, all employees greeted the guests with sonorous slogans, demonstrating Dawn's spirit of "Passion Achieves Dreams, Striving to Be the Industry Champion". In Longkou New Materials Science and Technology Industrial Park, the guests inspected the achievements made by Dawn in building industrial chains, product chains, and enterprise chains, and carefully understood the R&D of new technologies and application of new products.

At the subsequent symposium, General Manager Tian Hongchi introduced Dawn's strategic planning, industrial layout, scientific research, and product situation. "We actively participate in the modular solutions led by Haier, deeply integrate into the Haier ecosystem, and have been awarded the 'Strategic Partner Award' by Haier Smart Home for three consecutive years." General Manager Tian Hongchi said that Qingdao Haina New Material Co., Ltd., located in the SCO Demonstration Zone, relying on Haier's advanced management experience and brand advantages and Dawn's strong R&D strength and market advantages, has achieved more than 200% growth in operating income in the past 10 years of cooperation. A number of iterative leading product innovation solutions have created the best user experience together with Haier.

Entering the recycling industry is part of Dawn's strategic layout. In December 2024, Dawn Polymer joined hands with Qingdao Ruibo Eco-Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Haier Smart Home, to focus on the R&D, production, and sales of PCR (post-consumer recycled) plastic recycling materials, aiming to build a leading enterprise in the field of domestic recycled new materials. "In the future, we will fully integrate with Haier from the entire product chain, including raw material customization, modification, recycling, as well as molds, equipment, and products, to form a joint force and create a model of industrial cooperation," said General Manager Tian Hongchi.

From the past to the future, Vice President Li Yang fully affirmed the cooperation achievements between Dawn and Haier from the four dimensions of "depth, height, breadth, and speed" and was full of confidence and expectation for the future cooperation prospects. Deputy Mayor Zhou Lin hoped to make good use of the national strategic advantages of the SCO Demonstration Zone to plan Dawn's layout; make good use of the opportunity of COSMOPlat New City construction to study expanding Dawn's supporting business with Haier; make good use of the resources of scientific research institutes in Qingdao to build a large R&D platform around the needs of the SCO and "Belt and Road" countries; and make good use of the preferential policies for enterprises in the SCO Demonstration Zone to boost high-quality development.

As the core area of the SCO Demonstration Zone, Jiaozhou, Qingdao, is currently in the sprint stage of the "Five New Cities" planning and construction to achieve "new heights." The SCO COSMOPlat New City, a "smart manufacturing city", has emerged. Chairman Yu Xiaoning said that it is necessary to clearly recognize the national strategic position of the SCO Demonstration Zone, combine Haier's strategic layout, plan and integrate the development of Dawn's industrial cluster in the Qingdao area, continuously improve innovation and collaboration capabilities, help Haier Smart Home provide users with more smart home products, and join hands with Haier to build a world-class high-end smart home manufacturing demonstration base.
