A few days ago, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAC) approved the release of a number of important national standards, among which the national standard "Technical Specifications for Comprehensive Utilization of Titanium Gypsum" participated in by Dawn Titanium Industry Co., Ltd was listed. The standard was led by the China Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Technology Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the China National Coatings Industry Association. The standard takes 8 months to develop and will be officially implemented on June 1st, 2025.

According to reports, this standard applies to the comprehensive utilization of general industrial solid wastes with calcium sulfate dihydrate (CaSO4·2H2O) as the main component, which is generated when treating waste acid and acidic wastewater during the production of titanium dioxide using the sulfuric acid process. It will promote the upgrading of emerging industries, enhance the resource utilization of titanium gypsum, effectively control environmental risks, address industry challenges, improve economic efficiency and resource utilization for enterprises, and lay a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the industry.
