On the morning of March 16th, more than 260 Dawn employees entered the Dawn New Material Science and Technology Industrial Park in Longkou City and participated in the voluntary tree planting activity at the south side of the east end of Xingang Road, embodying the concept of green development in their hearts and practice it with actions. Yu Xiaoning, Chairman and President of Dawn Group, Xiao Hui, Executive Vice President, members of the leadership team, and representatives of various departments and units participated in the event.

What is voluntary tree planting? Chairman Yu Xiaoning stated, ""Planting the trees, greening the motherland and improving the ecological environment is a basic national policy of China, and it is also our unshirkable responsibility".  Along with the planning and construction of the park, Dawn's voluntary tree planting activities have been carried out for nearly 20 years. "Greening" has been the core element of "Suitable for Work, Business, Living and Tourism; Beautification, Greening, Brightening and Purification" and the most distinctive background for restoring the natural ecology.

According to the head of the landscaping department of Dawn Engineering Construction Company, the survival rate of voluntary tree planting in previous years has exceeded 95%. Following the usual practice, before the activity began, the responsible person detailed the planting methods and requirements. The head of Dawn Group's Strategic Operations Management Department emphasized safety precautions. The cadres and employees participating in the activity shouted out Dawn's "Dancing together, Building together and Sharing together" belief and swiftly immersed themselves in the enthusiastic tree planting activity.

"A single tree cannot make a forest; one person alone cannot accomplish much." Cadres and employees from various departments and units showcased their skills in designated areas, working together in groups of two or three, with each group assigned specific tasks such as carrying trees and seedlings, filling soil with shovels, and compacting soil around the seedlings. It enabled everyone to experience the joy of labor and enhanced team cohesion. After a morning of hard work, over 5,000 Juniperus chinensis and Pinus thunbergii Parl were planted. The rows of seedlings, arranged neatly and strategically, adding new vitality and vigor to the industrial park.

Why do we plant trees? Chairman Yu Xiaoning believes, "Planting trees cultivates our sentiments and fulfills our obligations. Dawn employees cannot miss this lesson, cannot miss this event." He encouraged everyone to approach tree planting with the same dedication as educating children and nurturing employees, emphasizing the importance of investing heart, emotion, and effort into the task. "Through tree planting, we can understand the principle of 'rooting downwards and growing upwards', which is truly meaningful!" said Luan Haowo, a new employee of Dawn Polymer.

Planting a tree together, building a green environment collectively, witnessing friendship and growth. Currently, Dawn Group is accelerating its digital transformation. Members of the Yonyou Group appeared at the tree planting site for this project. "When Dawn achieves its 'hundred billions of sales revenue and industrial park' milestone, we will come back to see the trees we planted with our own hands. It will be a very fulfilling experience," said project team member Zhou Siliang, expressing a beautiful hope for the future: "Gathering the momentum for the future, and winning the future with intelligence."

"It takes ten years to grow trees and a hundred years to cultivate people." In the future, Dawn will carry out regular tree planting activities, continuously restore natural ecology, establish industrial ecology, and achieve the integration of "natural ecology and industrial ecology", strengthen the awareness that talent work is also a "tree planting project", give full play to the four major advantages of scientific research, industry, parks and talents, develop new productive forces according to local conditions, empower the green, low-carbon and high-quality development, and accelerate the realization of the beautiful vision of "leading the industrial trends, building a national brand, and achieving a century-old Dawn"
