On February 20th, Zheng Deyan, Deputy Secretary of the Yantai Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Yantai City, visited Dawn Group to inspect key project construction and the resumption of work and production. He emphasized the need to thoroughly implement the spirit of the high-level opening-up and high-quality investment promotion conference of Shandong Province, as well as the mobilization conference of Yantai city for striving towards a trillion-dollar journey, and urged full efforts to achieve a strong start in the first quarter. Li Wanping, Secretary of the Longkou Municipal Party Committee, and Zhang Shaopeng, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, accompanied the research visit.

At the Dawn New Materials Science and Technology Industrial Park, Mayor Zheng Deyan conducted an on-site inspection of the expansion of polymer new materials production and the 120,000 tons/year fully biodegradable plastic PBAT project. He listened to a briefing from Yu Xiaoning, Chairman and President of Dawn Group, on the company's development, project construction, product research and development, and park planning. Mayor Zheng expressed appreciation for Dawn's green development and chain operation model.

As a key project for the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of Shandong Province, once the expansion project of Dawn's polymer new materials reaches full production, its capacity for high-performance thermoplastic elastomers (TPV) will rank second in the world, and its capacity for modified plastics will rank second in China. According to reports, Dawn possesses the largest single-unit capacity for the synthesis of biodegradable materials (PBAT) in China, which can replace traditional non-degradable materials such as PE, PP, PVC, effectively addressing "white pollution."

Over the years, Dawn has been continuously cultivating its industrial chain, product chain, and enterprise chain, adhering to the "chain thinking" to build distinctive industrial clusters. In Mayor Zheng Deyan's government work report at the 18th session of the Yantai Municipal People's Congress on January 13th, it was mentioned, "Support Dawn Group in accelerating chain development and building a high-end new material research and production base."

Establish the "seven high-ends" and solidify the "four cores". Dawn focuses on core products that are not only crucial for national development and people's livelihoods but also on new technologies and products that address critical issues. Mayor Zheng Deyan urged relevant departments to thoroughly understand the application of Dawn's core products in high-end fields and the status of industrial chain construction. He encouraged enterprises to accelerate the pace of green and low-carbon transformation, gather resources with "chain thinking," promote the scale of advantageous industries, and build a first-class green, low-carbon, high-end new material manufacturing base.
