On February 18th, the first work day of the Year of the Dragon, Tang Dajun, Deputy Secretary of the Jiangjin District Committee and Chief of Jiangjin District, Chongqing City, emphasized during his visit to the Southwest Headquarters Base (Phase I) project of Dawn Polymer the need to boost morale, intensify efforts, and strive for early production and results. He stressed the importance of continuously seeking advantages and expanding strengths to promote the growth and strengthening of the enterprise. District leaders Zhao Guangping, Liang Qikai, and Duan Xiang accompanied the activity.
On that afternoon, Jiangjin District carried out an industrial enterprise and key project research activity, calling for concentrated efforts to drive development, boost the economy, and seize opportunities for a strong start. The heads of relevant units, including the District Government Office, District Development and Reform Commission, District Economic Information Commission, District Housing and Urban-Rural Development Commission, District Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, and the Management Committee of Lingang Industrial City, participated in the event.
After hearing reports from the project leaders regarding the enterprise development, project construction, and future plans, District Chief Tang Dajun delved into the workshops to understand product performance, application areas, equipment installation, and production plans. He emphasized the need to strengthen resource guarantees and address bottlenecks and issues encountered in the implementation of the project. He also stressed the importance of ensuring efficient and safe progress in project construction and enterprise production to achieve a stable and prosperous start to the year.
Previously, leaders from various levels of the Jiangjin District government conducted multiple research visits to this project, urging for increased efforts to accelerate progress, focus on improving quality, and maximize efficiency, in order to pragmatically advance the construction of key projects. "We already have the production conditions in place as of the end of last year, and we are set to commence official production in the first half year of 2024" said the project leader. The total investment of the project is CNY 500 million. After reaching full capacity, the annual output of modified plastic granules will be 150,000 tons, with an annual output value of CNY 1.5 billion.
It's noted that this project is located in the Jiangjin Comprehensive Bonded Zone (Luohuang Industrial Park) and is invested and constructed by Dawn Group's subsidiary, Dawn Polymer. "As a strategic initiative for Dawn's expansion into the southwestern region, we plan to establish a technology innovation center, production base, and trade center. In the future, we will build digitalized workshops, smart factories, and digital enterprises, aiming to create an important manufacturing base for polymer new materials in China," said the project leader.
