On September 21st, the Shandong Standardization Association(SDAS) held the 2022 Science and Technology Award Ceremony in Jinan, and Dawn Polymer won the first prize of Science and Technology Award. On the same day, Yantai City held a launch ceremony for “Good People in Yantai” in August, 2023 at the New Era Civilization Practice Center in Muping District. Liu Xiaoping, Elastomer R&D Director of Dawn Polymer, was on the list. These two honors may seemed unrelated, but they both belonged to the Dawn's R&D team.

According to reports, the Science and Technology Award of Shandong Standardization Association aims to commend units and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to standardization work and scientific and technological innovation through scientific and technological innovation, scientific and technological methods, and the use of standardization means to help Shandong Province’s economic development and social progress.

As a national high-tech enterprise and a "Little Giant" enterprise with specialization, refinement, differentiation, and innovation, Dawn Polymer has been driving the improvement of its quality, brand, and innovation capabilities through standardization. In recent years, it has  integrated  excellent research teams to conduct R&D by leveraging innovation platforms at the provincial and higher levels, and involved in the development or revision of nearly 70 international, national, industrial, and group standards, gaining significant influence within the industry.

In the third quarter of 2023, Zhao Lei, the Director of Dawn Polymer's Testing Center, was appointed as a standardization expert by the Yantai Municipal Market Supervision Administration. Dawn Polymer was also selected for the "Shandong Provincial Standard Innovation Enterprise Program," being the only expert and enterprise from Longkou to be included. Additionally, the company currently has five experts serving as committee members in seven national standardization technical committees. "Standardization work makes the production and quality control of modified plastics, thermoplastic elastomers, hydrogenated nitrile rubber, and other products more standardized, protecting and promoting the healthy development of the polymer materials industry," said Director Zhao Lei.

"Good People in Yantai" leads the way in setting a new social trend of righteousness, and constitutes the spiritual treasury of Yantai city. They are the widely propagated symbols of civility within Yantai city. Liu Xiaoping, the Director of Elastomer R&D at Dawn Polymer, a typical example in the field of dedication and professionalism, was listed on "Good People in Yantai" along with 12 other exemplary individuals.

At the awarding ceremony, along with heartfelt award speeches, a series of touching real-life stories were unveiled.

Joinging in Dawn since 23 years ago, Liu Xiaoping has been dedicating herself to the R&D of dynamic vulcanization technology for thermoplastic elastomers. As a key member, she worked hard with team members to overcome many technical problems in TPV preparation, break international technical barriers, and contribute to the development of Chinese elastomer industry.

Over the years, whether attending various academic exchanges and seminars, providing after-sales technical service to customers, or giving guidance on production technology in the workshop, Liu Xiaoping has always gone where she is needed. She has sacrificed her time with her family for outstanding performance. It is worth noting that Liu Xiaoping's team has received awards such as the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the Science and Technology Progress Award of Yantai City. Their developed products have been nationally important new products, and several of their technologies have been recognized by expert panels as international advanced level.

Worker Innovation Team of Longkou City, Yantai City's Top Ten Outstanding Women Worker, Yantai City Worker Vanguard, Outstanding Women Worker of Shandong Province... A string of shining honors bear witness to Liu Xiaoping's journey of hard work. She said, "These honors belong to our R&D team, and more so to all the people of Dawn. In the future, I will continue to carry forward the spirit and style of 'Three beings and Three doings' and devote myself to scientific research with even greater enthusiasm."

Dawn Polymer won the first prize of the Science and Technology Award of Shandong Standardization Association(SDAS) , shining brightly in the field of standards. Liu Xiaoping's inclusion in the "Good People in Yantai" list has strengthened Dawn's "good people group." They will undoubtedly play their due role, deepen technological innovation, promote quality and efficiency, and help the company to achieve healthy and sustainable development.
