On September 20th, the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Flame Retardant Materials and Applications Committee of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association and the Fourth China Flame Retardant Plastics Technology Innovation and Market Application Seminar were grandly held in Weifang, Shandong. At the second re-election meeting of the Special Committee on Flame Retardant Materials and Applications Committee held during the event, Yu Xiaoning, Chairman and President of Dawn Group, was re-elected as the director of the Special Committee.

The conference aimed to explore the industrial development opportunities in the face of new challenges, promote the high-quality development of the flame retardant industry, guide enterprises in enhancing their independent innovation and research capabilities, and strengthen communication and cooperation along the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain. Wang Zhanjie, Chairman of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association, and Wang Qi, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor of Sichuan University, attended the conference. On the morning of September 21st, Chairman Yu Xiaoning, on behalf of the first council of the Flame Retardant Materials and Application Committee, presented a work report to the conference. He summarized and reported on the work achievements of the Special Committee over the past four years, including the careful organization of various conferences and exhibitions, the establishment of service platforms, the promotion of in-depth integration of industry, academia, research, and application, the strengthening of innovation-driven leadership, extensive visits to frontline enterprises across China, enhanced internal cooperation and communication, and full commitment to epidemic prevention and control and support for resumption of work and production.
