On July 22nd, Dawn Group held its 2023 mid-year business analysis and 2024-2028 strategic presentation conference. The purpose of this conference was to review experiences, identify shortcomings, recognize achievements, clarify directions, inspire motivation, and strengthen the determination and confidence to achieve the annual objectives. During the conference, Dawn Group's Executive Vice President, Xiao Hui, reported on the operational performance of Dawn Group in the first half of 2023. The heads of various functional departments conducted a comprehensive analysis and summary of the work in the first half of 2023. They identified shortcomings and deployed tasks to lay the foundation for better consensus building and achieving the annual goals. General managers of various industrial sectors and operational units summarized and analyzed the operational performance in the first half of 2023 and presented their upcoming work plans. The leadership of Dawn Group provided an overview of the strategic planning for 2024-2028, as well as the strategic focus areas of products, talents, funds, industrial parks, and digitalization. This ensured that the strategies were well-directed and the tactics were well-structured.
The meeting announced the winners of various awards for the first half of the year, including the Market Development Award, Scale Growth Award, Safety Activity Excellence Award, Double Growth Award for the second quarter, the First Place Comprehensive Ranking Award for Category I, II, and III companies, and the list of units and individuals who won the Investment Promotion Award. Among them, Dawn Polymer, KPIC Dawn Polymer (Shanghai) Company, and Dawn Special Elastomers Company were awarded the First Place Comprehensive Ranking Award for Category I, II, and III companies respectively. The leadership of Dawn Group presented the awards to the winning companies and individuals and took commemorative photos together.
Executive Vice President Xiao Hui briefly reviewed the work in the first half of the year, introduced the operating performance, strategic layout, project construction, and the operating highlights of the three major sectors, and pointed out the current problems. We should focus on upgrading the industrial park, empowering investment attraction, and creating new opportunities. All departments and units should continue to involve in planning the park at a higher starting point, constructing it with higher quality, and operating it at a higher level. Collaborative efforts should be directed towards building the park, attracting projects, utilizing finance, and establishing platforms. Efficiently integrating and allocating resources will contribute wisdom and effort towards the early realization of a "thousands of talents, billions of trading volume" industrial park. A robust talent cultivation system needs to be established to propel talent development to a new level. Implementing the concept of "choosing the right talent, cultivating the talent well, placing the talent in right position, keeping the talent retained, and making the talent successful" should be carried out earnestly. After the meeting, Dawn Group organized the participants to visit Longkou Dawn New Material Science and Technology Industrial Park. They conducted a comprehensive tour of key enterprises within the park, focusing on aspects such as 6S management, factory area landscaping, and new project construction. Landmarks like Dawnfu and Dawn Bridge, as well as the Flower Field, received high praise from everyone. The park's lush greenery, melodious bird songs, fragrant flowers, and ever-evolving landscape showcased the perfect integration of "natural ecology" and "industrial ecology".
