What is the value of youth? On July 1st, at the 2023 New Employee Speech Contest with the theme 'Inspiring Youth with a Striving Attitude' held by Dawn Chemical Company, a new answer to carrying forward history was presented.

On that morning, Dawn Chemical Company held a special speech contest at Dawn Business School, inspiring everyone with the determination and confidence to "set lofty aspirations, cultivate great virtues, achieve excellence, and shoulder great responsibilities." Yu Xiaoning, Chairman and President of Dawn Group, attended the event and delivered a speech. All staff members from Dawn Chemical Company, Dawn International Trading Company, and Huasujia were present, along with invited leaders and representatives from functional departments and operating units of Dawn Group.

Immersed in the recitation of "Youth" by the event host and the participating contestants, everyone felt the heroic spirit of pioneers like Li Dazhao, who followed the truth a hundred years ago. The deeds of our revolutionary predecessors are admirable. Zixiaoming, the manager of Dawn Chemical's raffia PP department, who had just participated in the artistic performance celebrating the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 32nd anniversary of Dawn, said, "Under the influence of the red culture, I joined the second phase of the youth training program of Dawn Group, which marks a new starting point of inspiring our youth."

With a resounding pledge of "For a strong nation, for Dawn, and for the future," 29 new employees kicked off the speech competition with great enthusiasm. They took the stage one by one, eloquently expressing themselves. Each person ignited their youth on this stage, expressing their love for the party and the country and gratitude for the excellent platform that Dawn provides. The contestants delivered powerful and passionate speeches, winning high praise and enthusiastic applause from the judges and the audience.

The first prize winner of the speech competition, Xue Bowen, an employee of Dawn Chemical's Copolymer (PP) Department, said, "The essence of life is never elsewhere but in the daily struggle. Now, a brand new path lies ahead of us. Let us join hands, move forward with courage, and display the youthful vitality we should have. Let us embrace our era with vigor and determination."

I might not have encountered countless people, but I have been blessed with valuable assistance and guidance from wise individuals. And now I find myself walking alongside esteemed colleagues. Stepping into this new journey, Dawn Chemical has rejuvenated my youthfulness. Even if I cannot become a giant wave, I will still bravely move forward with determination." Zhang Lizhi, the first prize winner of the speech competition, an employee of Dawn Chemical's Non-Planned Purchasing Department said.

"The youth of the older generation of revolutionaries was devoted to the liberation of our nation and global peace." said Qu Ping, Vice General Manager of Dawn Chemical. "We must carry on the red revolutionary spirit, use our passion to achieve dreams, and strive to become the industrial champion." She counted on her fingers and continued, "Dawn is 32 years old now, and the average age of our chemical division is 32.3. What's even more inspiring is that among the 88 key management personnel, 16% are under the age of 32. This is an organization filled with youthful energy, and we are full of anticipation for the future!"

Wang Zhongliang, the manager of Linear PE Department I at Dawn Chemical and a member of the first batch of young employees, said, "Listening to the speeches of new employees, a surge of youthful energy envelops me. Since joining Dawn, I have transformed into a confident, disciplined, and strong young individual. Liu Juan, a fellow classmate of the same age and the Party Branch Secretary and manager of the Low-Pressure PE Department of Dawn Chemical, said, "I hope the new employees will quickly take up their positions and unleash the power of their youth to the fullest."
