On August 21st, the 2022 Annual Meeting of the Special Committee on Flame Retardant Materials and Applications of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association and the 3rd China Flame Retardant Plastics Technology Innovation and Market Application Seminar ended successfully in Foshan city, Guangdong, China. Professor Wang Yuzhong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and doctoral supervisor, Wang Zhanjie, chairman of China Plastics Processing Industry Association, and Chen Weiming, deputy mayor of Foshan, attended the meeting. Leaders and guests from relevant government departments, industrial organizations, upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, universities and scientific research institutions, investors, and media also participated in the meeting. Yu Xiaoning, Director of the Special Committee on Flame Retardant Materials and Applications, Chairman and President of Dawn Group, attended the meeting and made a work report.

As a grand event in the field of the flame-retardant materials, this conference ran through the entire plastic flame retardant industrial chain with a large scale, strong influence and high professionalism, conducted special reports and interactive exchanges around industry-related technologies, applications, markets, innovations, etc., and jointly discussed new materials, new technologies, new applications, new needs, and new markets. During the meeting, the Special Committee on Flame Retardant Materials and Applications of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association held the seventh meeting of the first council, reviewed the work from 2021 to 2022, supplemented the proposal of the director unit and the adjustment plan of membership fees, and discussed the matters of newly added director units awarding, certificate awarding ceremony and investment promotion in Nanjing exhibition.

On the morning of August 20th, the 2022 Annual Meeting of Special Committee on Flame Retardant Materials and Applications of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association and the 3rd China Flame Retardant Plastics Technology Innovation and Market Application Seminar was grandly opened. The heads of upstream and downstream enterprises in the flame-retardant industrial chain conducted in-depth exchanges on industrial technology transformation and supply cooperation. Yuan Jinting, technical manager of Dawn Polymer, made a special report on the application of flame-retardant thermoplastic elastomer materials in wire and cable, which attracted the attention of the audience.

At the meeting, Dawn Group was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Enterprise of Chinese Flame Retardant Industry in 2022, and Qiu Huanling, Vice President of Dawn Group, took the stage to accept the award. Chairman Yu Xiaoning, as the director of the special committee, presented the 2022 Outstanding Innovative Enterprise Award in Chinese Flame Retardant Industry.

Director Yu Xiaoning made the 2021-2022 annual work report on behalf of the special committee, summarized, and reported the work results of the special committee in the previous year. He said that in the next step, the special committee would organize various forms of exchange activities to promote the coordinated development of government, industry, academy, research, finance and application to give full play to the potential and capabilities of industrial innovation resources, strengthen exchanges by visiting well-known enterprises, hold special training courses, and serve technological innovation of enterprises, continue to promote the construction of the public account platform of the special committee to expand social influence and radiation, actively participate in the formulation and revision of industrial standards and national standards, and promote the standard quality improvement of the flame retardant plastics industry.
