On May 5th, Yantai City held the 2021 Work Summary and Outstanding Entrepreneur Commendation Conference, which aimed to further promote the entrepreneurial spirit, stimulate the vitality of innovation and entrepreneurship, and encourage the vast number of entrepreneurs in Yantai to boost their spirits and make new achievements. Yu Xiaoning, chairman and president of Dawn Group, was awarded the "Meritorious Entrepreneur of Yantai City" in 2021. He attended the meeting and took a seat on the rostrum. According to the report, it was the second time that Chairman Yu Xiaoning won this honor after being awarded the 2020 Meritorious Entrepreneur of Yantai city.

In 1991, Chairman Yu Xiaoning led five employees to start from scratch. As an original private enterprise, under Chairman Yu Xiaoning’s leadership, Dawn Group has adhered to the road of integrated development of science, industry, trade, logistics, and finance for more than 30 years. After four transformations, it has formed a pattern of coordinated development of main and auxiliary industries, and ranked among the top 500 private enterprises in China year after year. In 2017, Dawn Polymer, a subsidiary of Dawn Group, was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, opening a new journey of mutual development between the real economy and the capital market. 

Innovation is the first driving force for enterprise development. Adhering to the business philosophy of "product-based, people-oriented, technology-led, and customer-first", Chairman Yu Xiaoning has been focusing on the R&D, polymerization, sales, production, and application of new materials, and developed a variety of core products that breaks the foreign technical barriers and successfully enters the global market. Yu Xiaoning led the Dawn scientific research team to establish the first TPV production line with independent intellectual property rights in China, which has made important contributions to the development of the Chinese rubber industry. Its preparation technology won the second prize of the National Technology Invention Award.

During the COVID-19, Chairman Yu Xiaoning led Dawn people to devote themselves to the production supply and R&D technology research of anti-epidemic materials at the first time, so as to maximize the supply of meltblown polypropylene special materials for mask fabrics. At the same time, it jointly undertook two emergency research projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission with Beijing University of Chemical Technology and participated in the drafting of the "Group Standard for Reusable Civilian Masks", which greatly alleviated Chinese urgent need for reusable masks under the epidemic. Dawn’s hardcore anti-epidemic performance won thanks and recognition from the State Council, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and many provinces.

"From central government to local government, from Yantai city to Longkou city, the business environment has been continuously optimized, which created a sufficient market space for the development of private enterprises." Chairman Yu Xiaoning said that the growth of private enterprises benefits from the country's favorable development environment and the reform and opening-up. 2022 is the year of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the year of the decisive battle for "five-year breakthroughs" in the transformation of Shandong's new and old kinetic energy, and the year of revitalization and remodeling in Yantai. In the next step, Dawn will thoroughly implement the requirements of innovative development, uphold the feelings of the country and the family, maintain strategic positioning, implement innovation-driven development, continue to deepen the new polymer material industry, continue to build product chains, enterprise chains, and industrial chains, realize the integrated development of natural ecology and industrial ecology, comprehensively start the strategic journey of transitioning from a professional enterprise to an expert enterprise, make great strides towards the "two hundred billion" development goals of 100 billion-level enterprises and 100-billion-level parks, truly achieve the goal of “developing the enterprises, making the employees happy, and repaying back to the society”, and contribute more "Dawn Power" to the promotion of industrial progress and regional economic development.
