Leaders of Fengxian District Visited KPIC Dawn Polymer(Shanghai) Co., Ltd. to Promote the Integrated Development of Innovation and Industrial Chains

On October 21st, Tang Xiaoteng, Deputy Secretary of the Fengxian(Shanghai) District Committee of the Communist Party of China, visited KPIC Dawn Polymer(Shanghai) Co., Ltd. for an inspection. Wei Bingwu, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Science and Technology Commission of Fengxian District, Yu Wenhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Hangzhou Bay Company, as well as officials from the Economic Commission, Investment Promotion Office, and the General New Materials Task Force of Fengxian District, also participated in the visit. Yang Shuhai, General Manager of KPIC Dawn Polymer(Shanghai) Co., Ltd., accompanied the delegation during the inspection.

That morning, Deputy Secretary Tang Xiaoteng visited the first-floor exhibition hall of the company, where he listened to General Manager Yang Shuhai’s introduction on the development of Dawn Group, Dawn Polymer, and KPIC Dawn Polymer(Shanghai) Co., Ltd. He carefully learned about the company’s advanced production processes, unique product advantages, and remarkable innovation achievements, and praised its dedication to craftsmanship and continuous breakthroughs in the field of polymer materials.

At the subsequent symposium, Deputy Secretary Tang Xiaoteng emphasized the importance of seizing the policy opportunities provided by Fengxian District to encourage enterprises to establish R&D centers. He urged the company to continuously increase investment in research and development and enhance the technological content of its products. Tang encouraged the enterprise to deepen its focus on the polymer new materials industry chain, explore interdisciplinary and cross-field innovations in the integration of innovation and industrial chains, and thereby extend, supplement, and strengthen the chain to generate new momentum for development and enhance the company’s competitiveness in both the industry and the international market.

According to the introduction, KPIC Dawn Polymer(Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is a modified plastics manufacturing enterprise jointly founded by Korea Petrochemical IND Co., ltd(KPIC) and Shandong Dawn Polymer Materials Co., Ltd., with each holding a 50% stake. Over the past 14 years since its founding, the company has focused on the research, production, and sales of modified polypropylene, polyethylene, ABS, polycarbonate, nylon, and biodegradable materials, with products widely applied across automotive manufacturing, household appliances, electronics and electrical industries, rail transit, medical and healthcare, as well as construction engineering fields.

Over the years, KPIC Dawn Polymer(Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has achieved continuous and significant growth in its business performance, with sales volume increasing by more than 11% year-on-year from January to September this year. “This research visit has built a bridge of communication between the government and enterprises, providing clear direction for the company’s future development in Fengxian District,” said General Manager Yang Shuhai. He added that the company would actively align with Dawn’s strategic planning and operational goals, enhance management efficiency, and inject new momentum into the economic and social development of Fengxian District. “We aim to take root in Fengxian, radiate across Shanghai, and influence the entire East China region—striving to become a world-class provider of green polymer materials.”
