At 6 a.m. on August 7, accompanied by a loud whistle, the "Du Jia" vessel, fully loaded with 36,000 cubic meters of vehicles and various equipment, slowly left the port, heading for Boffa Port in Guinea. This voyage not only set a new record for breakbulk cargo volume loaded by a Capesize vessel at domestic ports but also marked that the West Africa "point-to-point" liner route, jointly built by Dawn International Logistics and XMXYG CORPORATION, has entered a new stage of large-scale operation.
The smooth departure of the "Du Jia" relied on efficient collaboration from multiple parties. With strong support from leaders of Rizhao Port, the vessel achieved precise and efficient berthing and shifting operations. The stowage company, ship agency, and freight forwarding teams worked closely together, strictly controlling the quality of lashing and reinforcement throughout the process, and promptly responding to and resolving various emergencies before sailing, thus building a solid defense for the safe transportation of goods. The 36,000 cubic meters loading volume is not only a numerical breakthrough but also a strong proof of the professional capabilities of Chinese shipping enterprises in breakbulk transportation.
Looking back at the cooperation process, the industrial synergy between Dawn and XMXYG CORPORATION has steadily advanced. During a trip to Xiamen at the beginning of the year, the two parties conducted in-depth exchanges on the development of the West Africa logistics market for the first time, sowing the seeds of cooperation. In the spring of March, the first sailing vessel "Water Spirit 1" successfully set sail, firing the first shot of cooperation. In early summer of June, the "Zhida 88" set sail again, verifying the feasibility of the route operation model. From the steady expansion of "one begetting two" to the scale effect of "three begetting all things", in just half a year, the two enterprises have joined hands to open up the West Africa route, creating a new channel for Chinese enterprises to "go global" to Africa.
"The core advantages of the point-to-point liner route lie in 'stability' and 'cost-saving'," introduced Han Yongwei, General Manager of Dawn International Logistics. Compared with the traditional maritime transportation mode, this route reduces transit links through direct port services, which can greatly save transportation time for a single voyage. Relying on the standardized operation procedures of Rizhao Port, the cargo loading and unloading efficiency is high. In addition, the port's superior geographical location effectively reduces the cost of inland cargo gathering at the port. More importantly, the regular operation of the route has broken the monopoly pattern, reduced maritime transportation prices, and allowed more enterprises to enjoy the dividends of logistics cost reduction.
The depth of cooperation continues to expand. Dawn International Logistics and XMXYG CORPORATION have reached a consensus that they will carry out in-depth cooperation in key areas such as purchasing new ships, port cooperation, and African strategies. According to the plan, Dawn will invest in purchasing 63,000-ton bulk carriers, independently build 52,000-ton multi-purpose ships, and jointly customize Capesize ship types with XMXYG CORPORATION to gradually expand the scale of its own fleet. At present, the West Africa route has achieved stable operation of at least one liner per month, and the frequency will be continuously increased in the future according to the growth of cargo volume.
It is reported that following Rizhao Port, Dawn International Logistics has reached cooperation intentions with Longkou Port, Penglai Port, and Yantai Port. In the future, relying on the synergy advantages of Shandong port group, it will further expand the route coverage. In addition to the West Africa route, the plan to open the Central and South America route is also advancing steadily, aiming to build a global logistics network covering key areas along the "Belt and Road" and provide more reliable and efficient logistics solutions for Chinese manufacturing enterprises going global.
