On December 19th, He Jun, Party Secretary and Chairman of PetroChina Karamay Petrochemical Co., Ltd. Secretary He Jun visited the Dawn Group headquarters and the Longkou (Dawn) New Materials Science and Technology Industrial Park, and gained insight into the development of the industrial chain, product chain, and corporate chain. “Dawn possesses advanced corporate culture and key core technologies. It is a company worthy of respect!” he remarked. Under the leadership of Chairman Yu Xiaoning, Dawn employees are fulfilling the mission of "developing the enterprise, ensuring the employee happy, and giving back to society." Established in 1959, Karamay Petrochemical has an annual processing capacity of 6 million tons. It is the largest domestic producer of naphthenic high-grade lubricants and white oils, and also an important base for heavy oil processing and asphalt production for China Petroleum. During the introduction of Karamay Petrochemical’s development, Vice General Manager Kuang Yu shared insights on production operations, technological innovation, product applications, and significant achievements in key national projects, environmental protection, and the "Belt and Road" initiative.

As one of China's Top 500 Private Enterprises, Dawn Group has been dedicated to the research, polymerization, production, sales, and application of new materials for over 30 years. It is now focusing on becoming a world-class high-performance polymer materials enterprise. During the visit, the R&D team of Dawn Group introduced the application of Karamay Petrochemical’s white oils in Dawn’s thermoplastic elastomers (TPV). The head of Dawn's chemical equipment industry chain backbone enterprise, Longgang Pump Industry Co., Ltd, reviewed the cooperation with Karamay Petrochemical, while the head of Dongpeng Automatic Control Instrument Co., Ltd introduced the core products.

According to the cooperation agreement, both of them will primarily collaborate in the fields of specialty white oils and thermoplastic elastomers. Karamay Petrochemical will actively participate in Dawn's service projects related to thermoplastic elastomers, while Dawn will actively contribute to Karamay Petrochemical’s service projects in the specialty white oil field. In the future, they will leverage their respective advantages in technology, management, production, and sales to provide mutual support, ensuring the successful implementation of the cooperative projects.

The joint laboratory is not only a window for cooperation between them, but also a pilot and industrialization base for new technology research and development results. As industrial leaders in their respective fields, they will fully leverage their strengths to promote the research and application of specialty white oils in the elastomer field, so that they can enhance the performance of polymer materials, facilitate the industrialization of research results, and better meet market demands, ultimately contribute to a better quality of life for humanity.
