On August 30th, the 2024 Annual Meeting of the Flame Retardant Material and Application Committee of the China Plastics Processing Industry Association and the 5th China Flame Retardant Plastics Technology Innovation and Market Application Seminar, which concluded in Suzhou, Jiangsu, aimed to explore industrial development opportunities under the new situation, promote high-quality development of the flame retardant industry, guide enterprises to enhance independent innovation and independent research and development capabilities, accelerate the formation of new quality productivity, and strengthen exchanges and cooperation between upstream and downstream industrial chains.

Yu Xiaoning, Chairman and President of Dawn Group, delivered a work report as the Director of the Flame Retardant Material and Application Committee. This event was the largest flame retardant material event in the second half of this year, which ran through the entire flame retardant plastic industry chain with large scale, strong influence and high professionalism. Special lectures on new materials, new technologies, new applications, new demands and new markets were also held at the same time. Zhang Xiuwen, deputy general manager of Qingdao New Material Company under Dawn Polymer, gave a report on "Application and Development Trend of Flame Retardant Engineering Plastics for Household Appliances", attracting great attention from the audience.

In the annual work report of the special committee, Chairman Yu Xiaoning elaborated on the two aspects of actively participating in the activities of the association, working hard to implement the tasks assigned by the association, and devoting to strengthening industrial exchanges and organizing meetings and events. He also summarized the industry exhibitions, visits and surveys, technical training, innovative cooperation, international exchanges, etc., reported on the results of the special committee's work in fulfilling its duties, and also reported on the special committee's main work plan for the next stage.

"We will give full play to the professional functions of the special committee, continuously innovate work models and methods according to market demand and changes in forms together with all member units, and jointly write a new chapter in the application of flame retardant materials in plastic products."
