On April 25th, at the 2024 Zhongguancun Forum "Global Intellectual Property Protection and Innovation Forum", Dawn Polymer (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. and KPIC Dawn Polymer (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. subsidiaries of Dawn Polymer, along with Beijing University of Chemical Technology, were awarded the Second Prize of the 7th Beijing Invention Patent Award for their invention patent titled "The Preparation Method and Application of A Long-lasting Electrostatic Retention Melt-blown Polypropylene Material".
This forum focused on "The Digital Era: Intellectual Property Rights and Sustainable Development." Han Geng, Deputy Secretary General of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, Wang Peizhang, Director of the Intellectual Property Application Promotion Department of China National Intellectual Property Administration, and Yang Dongqi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Beijing Intellectual Property Administration, attended the event and presented medals to the award winners.

The Beijing Patent Invention Award is established by the People's Government of Beijing Municipality to encourage innovation in key areas and core technologies through patent incentives. It plays an important role in promoting a culture of technological rewards and motivating patent holders and inventors. So far, it has been successfully held for 7 times, and a total of 279 award-winning patents have been selected, including 36 projects selected this time.
As a national high-tech enterprise, Dawn Polymer jointly applied with Beijing University of Chemical Technology for emergency R&D projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology and key R&D programs in Beijing during the COVID-19. They developed key technologies and industrialization for reusable civilian sanitary masks, resulting in the acquisition of three Chinese invention patents and one utility model patent.

As of the end of March this year, the company has obtained 1 international patent under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), 72 Chinese invention patents, and 134 utility model patents.
