A few days ago, at the 2023 National Conference on Technological Innovation in the Petroleum and Chemical Industry held in Wuhan, Chen Qingkui, the Director of Dawn Group's Research Institute, was awarded the honorary title of "Outstanding Technologist in the National Petroleum and Chemical Industry." It is noteworthy that he is the third individual from Dawn to receive this honor, following the General Manager of Dawn Polymer, Tian Hongchi, and the Director of Research and Development, Chen Wenquan.

The purpose of this conference was to recognize outstanding technologists who had made significant contributions to the petroleum and chemical industry, and to promote technological innovation and development in the industry. The conference was attended by Li Shousheng, President of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, Chen Kaimin, Deputy Director of the Raw Materials Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Cao Chuanzhen, Deputy Director of the Industry Development Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, and others. During the conference, outstanding technologists from all over China gathered to share advanced research results and experiences.

Director Chen Qingkui is one of the leaders of Dawn's research team. In the Yantai Entrepreneurship Competition for Domestic and Overseas Elites held in Yantai, his project "Manufacturing of High-End Bi-Component Spunbond Non-Woven Fabric" won the second prize. He insists on innovation and change, actively embraces the market, and leads team members to conquer two core technologies: "Preparation Technology of High-Strength Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polyphenylene Sulfide Composite Materials" and "Preparation Technology of Low-Emission Thermoplastic Elastomer Materials."

As the primary drafter, Director Chen Qingkui drafted the national standard for "Polypropylene (PP) Melt-Blown Special Material." During the COVID-19, he and Dawn's R&D team developed new mask materials, made every effort to ensure the supply of raw materials for epidemic masks, and successfully completed the emergency allocation tasks issued by the country and many provinces and cities. With outstanding scientific research capabilities and innovative achievements, Dean Chen Qingkui was awarded the title of "Yantai's Most Beautiful Scientific and Technological Worker" in 2023.
